This benchmark was performed on one POWER5+ CPU of a cluster of
8 8-way IBM p575 nodes. Although the POWER5+ is a dual-core
processor only one core is involved in the computation, resulting
in a theoretical peak performance of 7.6 Gflop/s. A core is in
principle capable of multithreading but this has not been used as
it turns out to be a disadvantage in the majority of programs.

No problems were encountered in this test.
